Long period of computer usage can stress and dry the eyes, cause blurred vision, tiredness, and headaches. It can also aggravate existing ocular problems. I have here three simple steps on how to prevent eye-strain from prolonged use of computers:
1.) Take a 5-minute rest every 30 minutes or so to relax your eyes. Go for a walk, look out the window, or close your eyes.
2.) Place reference material next to the movements and focal
3.) Minimize glaze from the computer screen as this can sap the energy and lower productivity. Draw the curtains or blinds. Use a glare-reducing filter on the screen.
