Barangay Tambo Donates Doxycline Tablets to Support Flood-Exposed Employees Amid Storm Crising

In a remarkable act of community solidarity and compassion, Barangay Tambo, under the leadership of Barangay Chairwoman Jennifer Salimao-Quizon, donated tablets of doxycycline to our office. The donation was made to support employees who braved floodwaters to report for duty during the height of storm Crising, particularly on July 22, 2025.

Despite the difficult conditions brought on by the storm’s heavy rains and urban flooding, numerous dedicated employees pushed through the hazards to fulfill their responsibilities. Many had to wade through contaminated floodwaters, increasing their risk or waterborne illnesses such as leptospirosis.

Recognizing this health threat, Kap Jenn swiftly responded with the donation of prophylactic antibiotics. The initiative was made possible through the coordination efforts of the DOS1 Executive Office, which facilitated the request and ensured the timely delivery of the medication.

The donated doxycycline tablets will be distributed to affected employees as a preventive measure, demonstrating the barangay’s proactive approach to public health and its strong support for frontliners and civil servants.

We extend our deepest appreciation to Barangay Tambo and Chairwoman Quizon for their generosity and quick action. Their support strengthens the shared mission of service and underscores the value of unity in times of adversity.
